You've look over Boat Ownership and still don't feel comfortable cutting the check and making the commitment, well look no further, joining a Boat Club has significant advantages over ownership that may convince you to sign up today. Boat Clubs are getting more and more popular through out the U.S. due to their low costs, variety of Boats to meet any Boaters need and locations. Let's discuss the advantages Boat Clubs have over ownership: Extra expenses are eliminated... versus owning. With a Boat Club you only pay your monthly payment and no more (of course gas is extra). With ownership you must take into account trailer, storage, upkeep, maintenance, insurance and the proper vehicle to tow it. You're Covered... when your part of the Boat Club. Imagine leaving the dock with a Boat loaded of Family and Friends on a beautiful, bright sunny day when all of a sudden the engine dies! No problem, the Boat Club Staff will tow you back to the dock and offer another Boat to get you and your Boat load of people back on the Water! Could be a short day on the Water if you owned it. Choose from a wide range of Boat Types... that fit your need for that day. Going Fishing? Wakeboarding? Lunch at a Waterfront Restaurant? Anchoring? Whatever your desire the Boat Club will have the right type of Boat. Don't be limited too just one Boat. Club Membership has it's Reach... so whether you live in Florida but are in Boston on summer vacation, look up your Club or go on-line and book a Boat for the day. There are Boat Clubs popping up through out the United States that allow you too have the same advantages as being in your home town. How cool is that. As an owner, towing your Boat around the U.S. would be fun but costly. Express check-in and Express check-out... make your reservation, show up at the dock and go; no having to hook the trailer on, stop at the gas station along the way, nothing. Once you arrive back at the dock, just tie the Boat up to the dock and leave! The Boat Club will clean and gas it for the next Member, that simple. Owning you would have to dock the Boat, walk to the vehicle, pull the Boat out of the Water, wash it and then storage it. WOW, ownership seems like a lot of work! Boat Club Staff...will provide new Member Orientation of the local waterways including key boating destinations, safe anchoring and docking procedures plus overall
Boating Safety Operations.
Unlimited, Spontaneous use... is true but be sure to make reservations for those busier days of the week like on the weekends and holidays. All other days the Boats are readily available. Boat Clubs allow 2 to 4 reservations on the books at a time to make space for other Members (can't book every weekend for the term of your lease!). Spontaneous use are those days where the Boat is not reserve 24-hour prior, so if you called on Friday afternoon and the Boat is not reserved for Saturday, it's all yours. Check with your Boat Club on their cut-off times for spontaneous use and reservations procedure. You'll be surprise on the number of Members who don't make reservations and who procrastinate to the last minute to get a Boat. Don't be one of them - plan ahead. Boat Club versus Renting... has big differences. Renting can be 'hit' or 'miss' experience but if you are away from home and your Boat Club doesn't have a location in that area, then Renting is your best alternative. However, if you have the choice between a Boat Club and Renting, go with the Club. Renting costs more, Boat are generally run down and not in the best of shape and customer service could be like being dealing with a pirate. If your an avid Boater stick to the Boat Club experience. Country Club Lifestyle for the Boater... is where you need to be. Country Club Marina's are popping up all over the place and all offer a Boat or Yacht Club with all the amenities of a Waterfront Resort. These are great places to socialize and meet other Boater who share the same interests as you. With Waterfront real estate being bought up everywhere, Marina and dock space is disappearing so here's another reason to go with a Boat Club and avoid the rising costs of dock space!
