Pontoon Boats

Pontoon and Deck Boats the only similarity these two boats have are there large decks, after that, they are a whole lot different.

We'll start with Pontoon Boats. These types of Boats are known for there spacious decks, comfortable chairs and couches and lazy, slow cruising. The Pontoon is big enough to have your Family Reunion on the Water! Have a Deck Party! There are many Water sport activities you can do on a Pontoon Boat. Some are Fishing, Entertaining, Scuba Diving, Snorkeling and with the right engine Water skiing and wakeboarding.

Pontoon Boats are ideal for back bay and lake cruising. They're light weight (made with aluminum) and generally have a small horsepower engine. This makes the Pontoon easily affordable. However a larger, heavier Pontoon (including one with more horsepower) can travel into the ocean on seas between 2 to 4 feet. Check the weather report before heading out. These vessels are great for Sunset Cruising. Because of its open deck you must accessorize with a bimini top (this is a large canvas that span or covers the deck to offers shade from the sun). Some of the newer models today have a head (toilet) and wet bar and in some a small refrigerator. The only this missing is your flat screen TV! Get out there! Also a popular design is the Small or Mini Pontoon Fishing Boats. These light weight (some even two people can carry) Mini Fishing Pontoon Boats are ideal for the beginner Boater or Fisherman or someone just looking for an inexpensive way to get out on the Water to catch some fish or have some Family Fun!

The Pontoon Boat Site Whether you already own a pontoon boat or are just thinking about your first purchase, the PontoonBoatSite is the foremost online resource for all your pontoon boat requirements. Up-to-date news, articles and information for all boaters.

The most popular Pontoon Boat Manufacturers are Sun Tracker, Pontoon, Avalon, Manitou, Sweetwater, Fisher, Voyager and more...

This Boat can do just the same Water sport activities as a Pontoon can do; Fishing, Entertaining, Scuba Diving, Snorkeling, Water skiing and wakeboarding.

Deck Boats are ideal for back bay and lake cruising. This type of Boat is made from fiberglass and is generally light in weight and when they pack on a 150hp to 260hp engine you come up on plane (when boat is nearly parallel with the Waters surface) quickly resulting in greater speed. This Boat is affordable and great for taking the whole family with space for 14 people. This is a Fun Family or Friends DECK PARTY!
